Corporate Challenge!

Like we did last year, iVEDiX is participating in the Chase Corporate Challenge for 2014.  For those of you who might not know, the Corporate Challenge is an event hosted by JP Morgan Chase that combines a company athletic event with a charity drive.  It is designed to emphasize fitness in the workplace, while also contributing to the community.  This year, the Corporate Challenge Rochester event is benefiting the Hillside family of agencies.

We love things like the Corporate Challenge, for a lot of reasons.  First and foremost, they are a great way for the iVEDiX team to bond after a hard day of cranking out awesome data visualization products.  One of the things that makes the iVEDiX team so special is that despite our world-wide reach and powerhouse approach to analytics, we’re a tight-knit team of specialists.  Things like a the CC offer the perfect atmosphere for us to get together and have a good time.

Of course, we can’t overlook the charity aspect of things like the CC.  The Hillside family of agencies is a great organization that helps children and families in Rochester.  A non-profit, they are dependent upon the generosity of average people who go out of their way to give what they can.

It is also a good thing to point out that things like the Chase Corporate Challenge exist in an atmosphere where companies are recognizing the value of employee volunteer programs.  So a event like the Corporate Challenge is a great way to introduce employees and employers to the concept of working volunteering into their daily schedules, whether by working with employees to allow them time off, or getting the company in on the act.

If your company or organization isn’t part of the Chase Corporate Challenge, consider looking into it.  It is a great way to do something for the community, while promoting fitness and camaraderie.  If you’re interested, check out the above link to see some details.
