Pittsford firm’s product selected for United Nations program

Pittsford-based iVEDIX Inc.’s miVEDIX—a mobile product that integrates existing data infrastructure and gives users access to the data from a mobile device—has been selected by UNAIDS, the Joint United Nations Program on HIV/AIDS, to help end the HIV epidemic by the year 2030, officials announced Thursday.

“iVEDiX is instrumental in helping us reach our goal to end HIV epidemic by 2030 by enabling us to work together through a connected Situation Room,” said Luiz Loures, deputy executive director of UNAIDS, in a statement. “The ability to visualize, compare and manipulate data at the county and facility levels in meaningful ways is invaluable.”

Called the Situation Room initiative, the program has evolved from UNAIDS’ 90-90-90 targets for 2020 which are:

90 percent of all people living with HIV will know their HIV status;
90 percent of all people with diagnosed HIV infection will receive sustained antiretroviral therapy; and
90 percent of all people receiving antiretroviral therapy will have viral suppression.

“We are thrilled to support an initiative like this by providing a collaboration platform that will empower UNAIDS and its members to reach their objective,” said Rajesh Kutty, CEO of iVEDiX, in a statement. “This project is more than just technology, it’s about saving lives.”
